HELPING HANDS FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION
Helping Hands Food Pantry is part of a nationwide program, "Feeding America" and a regional program, "God's Pantry." Each Wednesday the Senior Center picks up food donations from local vendors (like Walmart and Kroger) that are ear the expiration date and distributes these items to anyone over 18 years of age who comes to the Center.

TOUR OF WEST SIXTH FARM
Tuesday, October 23, 10 a.m.
October 23 and 24 celebrate American Beer Week, so we've planned a tour of West Sixth Street Farm. It's complete with a taproom, outdoor pavilion, hop yard, orchard, trails and more. Birch Bragg will give us a guided tour of the farm and answer any questions we might have about the the craft beer industry in the Us and particularly Kentucky and West Sixth. This trip is free. You can ride the Center bus to the farm at 9:30 a.m. or meet us at the farm, 4495 Shadrick Ferry Road, at 10 a.m. Please call the office to sign up.

FLU SHOT CLINIC WITH HOMETOWN PHARMACY
Wednesday, October 24, 10 a.m.
if you haven't gotten your flu shot yet, you still have this chance. Bring your Medicare Card and your Medicare Plan D Card (if you have one). If you do not have a Medicare card, please bring your insurance card. if you don't have any insurance, check with the pharmacist that day.

DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP
Thursday, October 25, 4:30 p.m. 
A perfect group if you have a diabetes diagnosis and need information or care for someone who has diabetes.

CAPITAL STEPPERS LINE DANCING

Our own Capital Steppers will perform their latest dances. Join us for a high-stepping morning.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME & TRICK OR TREAT
Wednesday, October 31, 10 a.m.
Wear your costume for the costume parade if you'd like. Bring some trick or treat goodies because we'll be hosting the 2nd and 3rd grade trick or treaters from Capital Day School. 

POT LUCK & VARIETY SHOW
Tuesday, November 6, 5 p.m.

Bring a dish to share at pot luck then stay for the fantastic variety show at 6 p.m.

THANKSGIVING LUNCH/SHARE THE LOVE EVENT

Join us for our annual traditional Thanksgiving dinner and kick off of the Subaru Share the Love Event.

CENTER BOOK GROUP
Tuesday, November 20, 10:30 a.m.
This month's selection, Big Russ & Me by Tim Russert captures his growing up years in Buffalo. It captures those early influences: his dad (Big Russ), his Catholic upbring, and living in a working-class town in the 50's. Books are available at the Center. This will be the last book group of the year. After November, book group resumes in April, 2019.

HOSPICE SERVICES
Tuesday, November 27, 10 a.m.
Lindsey Kampher from Bluegrass Care Navigators will join us to discuss the Hospice services and adult day care services that are available to people in Frankfort and Franklin County. 

KSU NUTRITION
Wednesday, November 28, 10 a.m.
This month nutrition specialists will discuss iron rich foods for every body. They will also demonstrate Hawaiian Turkey Sliders with mango Pineapple Salsa.
