SMOKE ALARMS FOR HEARING IMPAIRED
Tuesday, April 23, 10 a.m.
People who are deaf or hard of hearing may not be able to depend on the traditional smoke alarm to alert them to a fire. The City of Frankfort Fire & EMS Dept. has been awarded a FEMA grant to provide and install FREE special devices in the homes of people who have a hearing impairment, are deaf or have other special needs. These alarms use bed shakers and strobe lights to warn those who can't hear audible alarms that there is smoke or fire danger. They also can be used as an alarm clock that will shake the bed when it's time to get up. Frankfort Fire Marshall Gary Muller will join us to explain the devices and help with the application process for qualified applicants.

JAZZ APPRECIATION
Tuesday, April 30, 10 a.m.
April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and Skeets Pennington will help us celebrate. Skeets is a jazz virtuoso, and a perfect choice to help us appreciate this music form developed from ragtime and blues music.
