 AARP Tax Aides

AARP Tax-Aide volunteers are available to prepare income tax returns or answer tax-related questions for low and middle income taxpayers of all ages. NO APPOINTMENTS--FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.
8:30 - 11:30 a.m. Tuesday & Thursday, February 2 - April 13.

  • Social Security Card and photo ID for yourself and all dependents
  • Copy of last year's tax return
  • W-2 forms from each employer
  • Unemployment compensation forms
  • SSA-1099 Form if you receive Social Security Benefits
  • All 1099 forms showing interest, dividends, retirement and all other income as well as documentation showing purchase price of sold assets
  • All forms showing income tax paid
  • Child care provider information
  • Receipts, cancelled checks or other documentation if itemizing deductions
  • Copy of check to enable direct deposit of refunds
  • If you arranged for medical insurance through KYNECT, you must bring confirmation form 1095A for you and/or any dependents



Welcome to the Senior Activity Center of Franklin County, where we provide recreational, educational, and wellness activities for seniors age 50 and older.   Our Center, located in Frankfort near the hospital, is a place where seniors gather to meet friends for coffee, attend exercise classes and use our exercise equipment, play bridge and other games, make arts and crafts, shop at our stores, listen to music and guest speakers, dance, and have a hot, nutritious lunch.  We are open Monday, Wednesday,  Friday,  8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday & Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Membership is free for those who are age 50 and older and their spouses.   

Our mission: to enhance senior living for people 50 and above by providing programs, activities and opportunities for education and good health.

HELPING HANDS FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION DATES - 11 a.m. on the following dates:   March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. Distribution is available to anyone 18 years of age.
